Israel is G-d's special enclave, upon which there is an extra portion of divine providence, on both its people and upon the land. We are a lucky folk, us Jews, and we have so much to be grateful for.in the vanguardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11796434751654291581noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7976081.post-66509506853993696762009-06-02T09:51:54.836+03:002009-06-02T09:51:54.836+03:00Okay, so right now we're having a tough time makin...Okay, so right now we're having a tough time making a living (my husband just lost his job) but it's still easier here than in the States.

There's no comparison, just from the attitude of the kids and their friends (the constant comparison to the wealthiest in the States was overwhelming; here it's just not the same).

He's having a hard time finding a job here. Yeah. But I agree with rutimizrakhi, that tastes are simpler here. The competition isn't the same. To me, the argument between "making a living" in the US vs. living in the Holy Land is sort of like saying it's easier to be a peach than a cucumber. Peaches may be gloriously sweet and juicy... but they can't be cucumbers. One seems to need to make a large income just for life in America to matter. My tastes are simpler. I look forward to sharing a cucumber salad with you.rutimizrachihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06809119908148195009noreply@blogger.com
